I fell in love with my warrior.

If you ask a group of women what they feel when they hear the words “pregnancy” or “labor”, you will get a substantial amount that relate this with feelings of fear or anxiety. I’d be lying if I said these feelings didn’t come up a few times in my own journey into motherhood. But if you have ever actually witnessed a woman labor in a trusting birth environment, then you’ll remove those previous words and replace them with “wise”, “strong”, “spiritual”, and “intuitive”.

Those powerful four words above were the traits of the woman I slowly created week by week during my own pregnancy journey. By the time my baby was ready to be born, so was she. I called her My Warrior. The Warrior Woman is disrupted from her deep slumber when the responsibility of carrying a new soul inside her womb is entrusted to her. She finds deep honor and gratitude in this newfound responsibility. She is protective and in tune with her body. She is vocal about her plans and does not waver at someone else's doubts. She protects her circle and carefully vets those who try to enter it. And when her baby is ready to enter her world, she is clothed in an unmeasurable amount of strength, and she laughs without fear of the future.

Hi! Im Carolina The Doula.

Aside from being a little obsessed with birth, I am also head over heels for my family. I am a mother to a beautiful soon-to-be toddler and am currently expecting our second child! I am a home birth advocate and a supporter of evidence-based birth. I am DONA Internationally Certified and am trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. I received a photography degree from the University of Miami where I discovered a deep love of photographing people and nature. When I am not home taking care of our baby or assisting new mothers-to-be, you can find me helping out around our family’s dental office! Life gets busy but my number one priority is always my family. Whether we are homemaking, homesteading or exploring homeschooling— my little piece of heaven is with my family at home!
